Orlando, Fla. – February 6, 2003 – Susan Spraker, Certified Financial Planner™ and principal with Spraker, Fitzgerald & Tamayo, recently announced the merger of her firm with Optimum Financial Group, a leading financial services firm based in Melbourne. Both Spraker, Fitzgerald & Tamayo and Optimum Financial Group provide comprehensive financial planning and wealth management services and manage a combined total of more than $90 million from across the country.

Principals

Susan Spraker, a Certified Financial Planner™ licensee, has spent 18 years helping clients manage their total financial planning. Susan specializes in retirement and estate planning, portfolio management and long-term care planning. She actively participates in industry organizations including the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the Central Florida Estate Planning Council. She is a board Member of the FPA of Central Florida. Susan holds doctorate and master’s degrees from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree from The University of South Carolina.

Charles E. Fitzgerald, III specializes in retirement planning and investment services to corporate employees, business owners and retirees. His planning advice has been featured on NBC Channel 2, the Orlando Sentinel and as a former co-host on AM 580 WDBO. Fitzgerald currently serves as president-elect of the FPA of Central Florida and maintains active membership in the FPA and the Central Florida Estate Planning Council. Fitzgerald was a financial manager at AT&T Corporation for 13 years prior to forming Spraker, Fitzgerald & Tamayo LLC. He is an honors graduate in Business Administration and Finance from The University of Florida.

Ronald Tamayo focuses on investment policy, employee stock options and estate planning with the goal of protecting and enhancing retirement assets and estates. Tamayo has more than 14 years of financial planning and tax consulting experience. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the FPA of Central Florida and Secretary of the Central Florida Estate Planning Council. Tamayo earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Orlando College and was an Adjunct Instructor of Financial Planning and Investments for the University of Central Florida.

For 12 years, Moisand has advised individuals on how to best manage their money and investments. Moisand is a founding member of the Space Coast Chapter of the Florida State Guardianship Association, board member of the Brevard County Estate Planning Council and the Community Foundation Board, a past chairman of Easter Seal Society of East Central Florida. Prior to forming Optimum Financial Group, he worked with American Express Financial Advisors. Moisand received his bachelor’s degree in Finance from Florida State University.
